Daniel H. Levine is an Assistant Professor in the School of Public Policy and an Assistant Research Scholar in the Institute for Philosophy and Public Policy, specializing in moral and philosophical issues surrounding international law, civil conflict, and peacekeeping operations. Dr. Levine also works with the Education Program of the US Institute of Peace, where he oversees work with the Iraqi higher education community. He holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Georgetown University, where he taught courses on the philosophy of law, and a Master's of Public Policy from the University of Maryland, College Park. He has also been an activist with Amnesty International and the Save Darfur Coalition.
