The spiritual journey of Muslim women embodies the values and beliefs of Ms. Zarinah Shakir. As an educator and activist in the areas of women's and children rights, child neglect and abuse, peace advocacy, and the environment, Zarinah's quest for truth is at the core of this diversity program. Thus, "Islam, Women and Music " explores cultural issues of Muslim women within traditional and modern societies. Zarinah utilizes her extensive experience in Interfaith dialogue, the arts, and leadership to address these complicated societal issues that confront Muslim women during their daily living.
