"U.S.-China Relations in a Changing World," and "Harmony in Diversity"

Ambassador Wu Jianmin and his wife, Ambassador Ms. Shi Yanhua, from Beijing, China, will visit UMd for a joint lecture at Noon on U.S.-China relations. The event will be preceded by a simple reception starting at 11:30 a.m., also in the Atrium. This husband and wife team are both renowned international diplomats, and have done interpretation at the very highest levels of state for some of China's best known recent leaders, including Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, and Deng Xiaoping. Come and hear about their extraordinary experiences during China's development over the past 40 years.
