Fed Event: "Behind India's 8% Growth: Development for Whom and at What Cost" - A Lecture by Medha Patkar

This event might interest those of you interested in discussing and debating human rights and the "meaning of development".

Medha Patkar is an Indian social, human rights, and environmental activist. She has won the Right Livelihoods Award (1991) and the Human Rights Defender's Award by Amnesty International among other awards. She is speaking on campus tomorrow on growth and development in India.
