Interns are placed with the federal government at work sites in Washington, DC and throughout the U.S.

State Government Internships

The Career Center has purchased access to this database for University of Maryland students. E-mail Carol Monical cmonical@umd.edu at the University Career Center for the password (called promo code by Internships.com). Include your University ID number, full name, and your e-mail address in the body of the message.

Under Colleges & Universities, select University of Maryland, College Park. You will be able to look at jobs, but to apply online you will need to register (free).

http://www.internshipprograms.com A national database of available internships with companies and government, including advertising, marketing, sports teams, arts, agriculture, and ecology. Links to employer home pages and in some cases an online application.

http://www.rsinternships.com Rising Star Internships allows you to search for internships all over the country and post your resume.

http://www.internnetwork.com Provides networking opportunities through tradeshows and events. As a tradeshow intern, you can do various tasks including; product demonstrator, show presenter (excellent for those with a flair for drama), spokesperson and customer service.
